Southampton beat Club Brugge to sign Armando Broja on loan.
TheSecretScout understands that Chelsea striker Armando Broja is set to agree his loan move to Southampton today ahead of Club Brugge who were also keen on a season-long loan as Chelsea look set to announce the signing of Romelu Lukaku.
Broja, who spent the last campaign on loan at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, is understood to be travelling to Staplewood today.
Serie A side Udinese have already been mentioned as a possible destination but Broja’s representatives are not keen on the move to Italy.
Broja, who found the net for Chelsea in their 2-1 pre-season friendly win over Bournemouth, scored 10 times for Vitesse in 2020-21.
Broja recently put pen to paper on a new five-year contract at a time where Chelsea lost many of their youth. Tino Livramento, Lewis Bate, Myles Peart-Harris, and Dynel Simeu have all moved on to other clubs.
